Building A Business Based mostly On Positivity

My daughters and that i launched a retailer, the sole purpose of which is to convey back positivity and encourage face-to-face interactions. Our Shopify retailer, Say It Ahead, was inspired by years of trying to make the world a better place with small gestures.

A number of years in the past, one among my childhood buddies was diagnosed with most cancers. I remember speaking with my good friend as she advised me the negative effects of her remedy. Dropping her hair was the worst, and Patti was uncomfortable wearing hats and wigs.

Taking this dilemma, and knowing how crafty my daughters can be, we used smooth, colorful fabric to create head-coverings for her to put on. It was a small gesture to show Patti we cared for her. It cheered her up, and gave her comfort.

Patti asked us to make more and share them with others battling most cancers. In 2001, we made our first supply to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Over the subsequent 12 years, my daughters Steph and Allie inspired me to determine and run a non-revenue foundation. Our focus: to carry hope and encouragement to others with cancer by way of the “CUREchief.”

During this time, we met many on a regular basis heroes and heard their inspirational stories. This actually resonated with me. I wanted to listen to extra uplifting stories and to continue to deliver hope and positivity to others in new ways. “Certified Inspirational Professional” is my official title now.

Say it Forward started when my daughters and that i became tired of the constant unfavourable messaging online and within the media. This concern, combined with a lack of face-to-face human connection, inspired us to create and print playing cards that had constructive sayings on them.

Once again, our concept began with our small circle of household and associates. The confirmation came to me sooner or later at a coffee shop, after we handed a card to a perfect stranger. After reading the message, she looked up with tears in her eyes and said, “That card made my day.”

We realized we had been onto something and began to hand out extra cards while encouraging the recipients to cross on their equal kinky bulk hair cards to others. These exchanges generated personal connections that had been unavailable in cyberspace or via textual content message, and confirmed that our Say it Ahead concept was not just a card – it was a movement, and we used Shopify as the home base of that movement.

Our hope is to keep inspiring people; it’s what we like to do. Our PAWsitivity crew is comprised of my daughters: Steph and Allie and my adorable canine, Scooty who is a certified therapy dog. Scooty and i make service calls and hand out playing cards. We provide consolation, depart people with smiles on their faces and “PAWsitive” messages in their hearts.

Our products may not change the complete world, however they may change someone’s world. That’s my story, and it gets higher day by day.
