Click thumbnail to view full-size Gwen Stefani might have had platinum blonde hair ever since 1995’s Just a Lady spearheaded No doubt’s popularity, but her darkish eyes, eyebrows, and Italian surname level to a unique natural hair color altogether: dark brown.
Yup, Gwen Stefani is definitely a brunette. I know, you’re shocked. As was I!
Within the video for her 2005 single, Cool, Gwen sported locks with a hue a lot closer to those she was born with–properly, not less than in those flashback scenes. Actually, the video shows her happily spending time along with her beau, her curly darkish tresses cascading onto her shoulders, whereas in later scenes, it suggests her boyfriend traded her in for one more brunette when she started bleaching her hair. Come on, Gwen! (Gwen is still married to British rocker, Gavin Rossdale, so I’m assuming her prefers her as a blonde.)
Ironically, in her video, she’s probably wearing a wig. She does look extra classically stunning, and, in my view, fairly a bit younger, too.
A video shot in early 1991 (under), before she attained stardom, reveals her with pure, darkish-brown hair, and she’s a real beauty. Maybe not someone who lives on pirate ships with a coterie of Harajuku ladies, however nonetheless fairly fairly.
Possibly somebody will likely be ready to elucidate why several Italian-American chanteuses – Madonna and Lady Gaga come immediately to mind, but let’s not forget Diana DeGarmo, Ani DiFranco, Cyndi Lauper, and Justine Mattera – feel the necessity to spruce up their appearance with a heavy dose of peroxide. Possibly Italian men simply want blondes (Truly, I’ve been to Italy several times, and I would say that seems to be generally true)
Gwen mentioned that she’s had blonde hair since 1994, and she even pays homage to her hair color choice in her 2001 song Platinum Blonde Life. Try these lyrics: “I need a platinum blonde life, so I keep bleaching out the colors.” That, you do, Gwen.
At any rate, since the rule for aging celeb girls is to lighten their hair, not darken it, these pictures might be the last time you’ll be able to see Ms Stefani-Rossdale with the hair color God gave her. Enjoy!

Is Gwen prettier as a brunette or a bottle blonde
Blonde! It may not be natural, but it surely suits her better.
Brunette! She wants to place down the peroxide and return to her roots.
Neither! She should go all Katy Perry and dye her hair bright blue.

I’m part Italian too and find that blonde hair minamlizes my olive green skin tone so I like going blonde. IT has nothing to do with guys’ and their preferences. Generally folks just do what makes them happy. Similar to curling their hair or straightening it and so deep on. Also my hair is medium brown so you’d think going darker can be flattering but it surely ages me about 10 years. I believe the photographs of Gwen with darker hair are pretty with blonde she looks stunning. Plenty of fake blondes just look washed out though.

She appears like me with the brown hair, I even have that same pink polka dot costume I used to wear for good luck. I never needed to bleach my hair to get the guys. She appears years younger with the brown hair, less makeup. Its time for gwen to go back to her roots, the blonde hair at her age now makes her look too brassy)
Maddie: Sure, I guess she’s caught with it now. I read that Lady Gaga had to bleach her hair because her producers thought dark hair would make her look too much like Amy Winehouse.

In the 90’s, it was fashionable. At this point, it’s a matter of personal branding.

I believe she appears to be like great as a brunette! Appears a lot simple hairstyles for school healthier for her hair, too. Oh well. I guess it’s true that gentlemen prefer blondes..
Let the controversy begin!
